How the implementation of Yanzi’s M2M wireless broadband platform increased the efficiency at this large cattle farm.

Although maybe not obvious, a large cattle farm like this one is a great example for service providers and OEM’s to expand their business via M2M wireless broadband solutions. Many devices used by this farm are geographically spread out and difficult to wire and as such ideal for wireless smart objects each with their own SIM card.

Their first customer was a large cattle farm in the Sörmland region in Sweden, interested in new technologies to help further improve business efficiencies. The Swedish winters can be severe, certainly in the popular mountain areas. As a consequence cabins need to be properly heated in order to avoid frost damage.

This cabin owner installed Yanzi’s unique M2M platform solution, offering full serveillance capabilities via connected camera’s and sensors, remotely via smart phone and PC/tablet.

With this solution this cabin owner is able to remotely control the temperature of his cabin and receive warning notifications via SMS or email. The cameras provide intruder protection and a beautiful view of the outside conditions that can be shared via Yanzi’s platform with friends and family.

Additional sensors are used to control the cabin lights and heating.
